Unfortunately I discovered this cradle having already bought a bassinet for my little one and discovering that he refuses to sleep in it. Fortunately, I came across Futura Cradle. Not only does it come in four beautiful colors, the design itself is very simplistic and would compliment any room’s decor.

Now for the practical part. Futura Cradle is likely to fit into the smallest bedroom out there. I know because mine is one of them. But compact doesn’t mean short in this case. With the length of 39 inches it instantly wins me over. For comparison, an average bassinet length is anywhere between 33 to 35 inches. Any second time parent knows – babies grow fast. You want to get your money’s worth when shopping for the sleeping arrangements. The cradle comes with a mattress pad. It is a bit thin, but babies don’t need as much cushion as us adults do. It moves around easily on the wheels. Or if you prefer for it to be in place – they lock in a second. The rocking is something you can control too – with a little pin (see the picture) that can be taken out or put back in. The motion will quickly sooth the baby to sleep without you having to hold him/her.

The cradle is not meant for a musical mobile to be attached to it, but it can be done. Just make sure you have it locked in (not swinging) and let your baby enjoy.
